Er has a Bachelor of Science degree in management engineering from Istanbul Technical University (ITU), and a PhD in quantitative methods from Istanbul University. Er’s PhD thesis, entitled “Dynamic Panel Data Analysis and the Determinants of Stock Returns in Turkish Manufacturing Sector”, addresses the issue of the applicability of efficient market theory to the Istanbul Stock Exchange (ISE) market.
Dr Gwamaka Mwalemba
Senior Lecturer, School of Information Technology, UCT
Mwalemba is a senior lecturer in the School of Information Technology at the University of Cape Town with over fifteen years of experience in academia and the information technology sector. Mwalemba is actively involved in digital skills development, with roles such as teaching, research, and managing industry-academia collaboration projects. Mwalemba’s areas of interest include (but are not limited to) data analytics, enterprise systems, project (and people) management, and national digital skills ecosystems, with a particular focus on policies and strategies related to digital skills development in developing countries.
