GSEP alumni leading with purpose
Founded in 1971, Pepperdine Graduate School of Education and Psychology has empowered students to transform themselves and others into the best possible expression of themselves. That legacy is alive today more than ever, as we help students all over the globe gain the skills they need to achieve personal fulfillment, lead with purpose, and make a lasting impact in the lives and communities they serve.
Pepperdine’s online clinical psychology master’s program prepares you to pursue a licensure as a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) or licensed professional counselor (LPC). Licensing requirements vary by state.
Employment is projected to grow 16% for marriage and family therapists and 19% for counselors by 2033.
Licensed therapists and counselors can work in hospitals, schools, or social service agencies; consult for organizations; or even start their own practice. Many therapists and counselors also choose to focus their work with a specific population, such as children, couples, or the elderly.
